PMT :: Human rights education

My name is Tuyana Gadyanova.
I am nineteen years old and am attending the pedagogical college in Ulan Ude. I have been a volunteer with SCG since YTNF began.
My motto in life is "When the thought of war comes, oppose it with the thought of peace".
I believe that by participating in YTNF I can help to realize this motto, as the themes explored in this project are central to the concept of making peace and not war.
I also believe that this is an opportunity for me to contribute in a positive way to our society. The themes of this project "racism, human rights and social inclusion" are issues that concern my peers in contemporary Russian. It is an opportunity for me to learn more about the themes of this project.
For the last few years I have been an Aids-prevention volunteer in the Republican Centre in Ulan Ude, where I helped educate people throughout Buryatia on the theme of Aids-prevention. Now I would like to work within the project YTNF to learn something new because within this project I believe there is a movement towards bettering society as a whole and the project offers me the chance to work within a harmonious system.
On a personal level I hope that participating in YTNF will allow me the opportunity to gain valuable experience that I can use in both my life and my future profession.
I think everyone should have a duty before society and I hope that through my participation in YTNF I can encourage both my friends and my peers to both participate and learn from this project.
