Happy Child’s Day!

1st of June is the International Child’s Day.

What do you need in order to make a child happy and to bring a smile on his face? How expensive do you think the happiness of a child is?

Take one piece of BALLOON, add a VOLUNTEER, put some smiles with a marker and a lot of air (from your lungs) and you get a big smile on the beneficiary’s face. And all of this you multiply by ten the number of volunteers… by 100 the number of the balloons and you get a smiley park, where each child meeting with the group of “walking balloons” got his balloon.

This was what AVI volunteers were trying to do Sunday, 1st of June in the Dendrariu Park. The procedure of ballooning was quite fast, as we were 10 energetic volunteers, but even faster was to spread the balloons to our main beneficiaries  The parents were surprised in a very pleasant way, so we have collected many praises  

The smile and fresh air of the childhood has 100% invaded the Dendrariu park and the people from it!

On 13th August, our all 3 PMTs had a nice outdoors meeting, in order to consolidate the team. After a short description of each of us, of AVI-Moldova and YTNF projects for those that were new, we had organized a brainstorming of our future project ideas. The weather was fine, so we had the occasion to practice some sports, like volleyball or badminton and to admire Valea Trandafirilor’s view. This meeting was an opportune impulse for us to continue focusing on achieving our goals. We had a really good time. So we are looking forward for the next picnic. Details...

On 21 of July, AVI-Moldova organized the photo-exhibition "I am a volunteer". The exhibition consisted of a lot of photos, which are proving that volunteering is necesarry in our society. PMT members of Human Rights, together with Social Inclusion were involved in the organization the exhibition. In this way, they improved their group-leadership skills and gained experience in unfolding a certain activity. Volunteers prepared own stands with different photos from seminars and activities that already took place in YTNF project: Opening Strategical Seminar. Berlin: 24 February - 2 March. 2006. (organized by SCI-Germany). Project Management Seminar. Minsk: 2 - 8 April 2006. (organized by New Group Belarus). Details...
