Short description:
Milieukontakt Oost-Europa in cooperation with Facilicom Consult organized a training course on Curriculum Development. The aim of the seminar was to teach the participants how to organize an efficient training at three levels (knowledge, abilities and attitude), using different methods. As participants at this course, were members of the following NGOs from Moldova:
- MilieuKontakt Moldova
- AFM (the Association of Facilitators from Moldova)
- ICT team OrangeNet
- Green Agenda NGOs
- AVI-Moldova
The trainers of Curriculum Development training were:
- Simon Koolwijk
- Suzanne Bakker
- Sandra Molenkamp
- Katea Melnicenco.
Details:
AVI-Moldova was represented by ELENA Ichizli (regional manager), ALINA Secrieru (YTNF volunteer), CAROLINA Secrieru (YTNF volunteer).
During the two-day course, we were shared different training techniques.
We tried to identify together the obstacles that come on the way when organizing a training. We learned about Kolb teaching styles, we were familiarized with the learning cycle based on experience. Also, we learned how to establish the action plan and the consecutiveness of steps that have to be followed in order to efficiently structure a training, plus the appropriate time to be implemented.
All this information was practiced in different workshops. We were guided on how to prepare a session, step by step. Then, we presented the plan of action of a training and, in the end, we tried to frame our own training.
The ways of teaching were interactive and the information was easy to comprehend. We had role-play games, workshops and debates.
Results:
We, AVI-Moldova rep, worked on the Group Leadership Seminar which is going to take place in February 2007, Moldova. We elaborated a short plan of the agenda for each day of the seminar, the topics going to be taughT and discussed, and the workshops which will take place.
We have established partnership with some of the NGOs present to the Curriculum Development
Course:
- MilieuKontakt promised to provide our organization with “sticking wall” for the Group Leadership Seminar;
- Katea Melnicenco will provide the prep team of the Seminar from February with informational support, by the end of the month;
- OrangeNet, starting with November 2006, will give us the opportunity to promote our organization’s activities on their web site;
- AFM will organize a Fundraising training for AVI in the next months.
We received certificates of active participation to this course :)
