The Raduga Centre is a unique day care centre for children and young adults living with disabilities of the 1st group (disabilities as autism, cerebral palsy, mental disabilities and other, which are ranked in Ukraine as disabilities of 1st group, the most difficult). The Center has been created as a result of a group of activists and committed parents who fought for it in order to give their children the chance of getting not only physically care but also to develop themselves mentally and do some meaningful activities . The Raduga Center is unique because in contrast to other state care centres, which only allow disabled people to live the life of ‘vegetables’, the Raduga Center gives its people the chance to develop their personality and skills. In order to celebrate the international children’s day on 1st of June in Artemovsk, also SVIT Ukraine was actively involved in organizing special games for the children in the central park. Our ecological ‘corridor of perception’ was a funny challenge for a lot of children participating in it. With blinded eyes their senses were tested in three kinds of disciplines. Firstly, the children had to walk over different natural materials, such as sand, dried grass or step into water. Then, they had to touch different soils and guess which one it is. Especially, the third discipline was a funny challenge when the children had to smell different spices and tell the correct name. Details...

Or Environment and sustainable development in Europe: a challenge for Youth First of all it requires a group of people (slaves? Hm…, no, volunteers) from various corners of Europe, that will live together for a little more than a week sharing food, bathroom and trying to use the water in an ecologic way. Later on these poor fellows have to get acquainted with the craft: pilling, sawing, drilling, cleaning the reed (canne) and putting it together on an iron wire. Themselves they will learn to make some side products (bijouterie, weapons for hunting, musical instruments, what else?) limited only by imagination. Details...
