Human Rights Day
HR pmt organized a seminar in school # 63 and TV-interview on the occasion of Human Rights Day on the 10 of December. 20 active pupils from 8 till 11 grades the school took part in it.
Now they are ready to start HR club in their school and asking for support.

Discussion on racism and xenophobia in Politcafe   A new discussion club - Politcafe was opened within the framework of the project “Workshop on Human Rights” on 19 March in the Youth Art Theatre in Ulan-Ude. According to Radjana Dugarova, a moderator of discussion, its goal is to provide all interested citizens with opportunity to talk openly about urgent issues of social, economic, political and cultural development of the Buryat republic and neighboring regions. The topic of discussion “Don’t want to wake up in a new Reich” was prompted by life. On 28 February a young Buryat man was murdered in Moscow by a group of neo-Nazi youth. Details...

10.11.06 – “Dance for Life” – A program focusing on raising awareness about rights of people living with HIV, prepared by Volunteers of the Regional AIDS Center. 11.11.06 – Lecture “Fight for Nations’ Rights in the World” by Young Scholars 12.11.06 – Lecture “Federalism, Regional Rights, and Rights of Aboriginals” by Young Scholars From the 13-18th of November, there will be an Essay and Comics Contest on the theme of Tolerance and Crystal Night at Buryat University – Department of French Language and Literature.
