Places free in international workcamps! International workcamps are still one of the most popular & good value ways for people of all ages to travel, meet new friends, get deeply aquainted with different cultures, practice a foreign language and, last not least, make a meaningful contribution to social development, international understanding and peace.
Most workcamps last 2-3 weeks and combine useful & interesting work (5-6 hours per day on average) with lively discussions, fun & games as well as excursions to places of local interest. Whatever the camp & country, it will always turn out a once-in-a-lifetime experience!
Volunteers pay a modest registration fee to their sending organisation, in the country itself they are provided with free board and lodging. Travel is the responsibility of the volunteer. This summer a large number of camps will be taking place in Moldavia, Ukraine, Belarus and Russia, covering subjects as diverse as environmental protection, support for disadvantaged kids, anti-racism, human rights, gender equality etc.
Be sure not to miss out on this exciting opportunity and contact your local SCI branch now - the full list of contact addresses is available on the international SCI website: www.sciint.org where you can also take a look at the international workcamp databank with over 1000 workcamps to choose from!
