Christmas Party event for blind children!
Dear friends!
We happy to announce that on 28 December we planning to organize Christmas party event for blind children. It will be realized by our social inclusion PMT together with activists from our partner organization “The Seeing Heart”. We had invited 60 visual impaired children from all Belarus.
We plan to organize “Christmas Eve” story, also different funny games and interactive competitions.
And of course, It will be Ded Moroz (Russian Santa Claus), who will give different gifts to children.
If you have proposals of interesting games or competitions that we can carry on,
we will be very glad to get it from you!
Warm Greetings & Merry Christmas!!!
Always yours,
Social inclusion PMT
This we have tried to figure out during short training for mentors of EVS volunteers, which was organized in the framework of "Creation of Coordinating Centers on Volunteering" project with support of Zukunftsfonds Berlin. The training had very practical point - new EVS volunteers start their projects in SVIT in October. So together we have tried to figure out, who is mentor and why it is needed for a long-term volunteer, as European Voluntary Service. What are the tasks and responsibilities of mentor, what is his\her place in the project with the volunteer, and of course special needs and support of EVS volunteers.

More than 35 participants from Lviv to Lugansk, Kherson to Kyiv met in Kharkiv on October 12th for some strange kind of Oktoberfest - not for beers, but to talk about volunteering. Open space gave opportunity for everyone to talk about volunteering under different sauce - what you prefer more. Some examples of such sauce: environment, activities with children, human rights and combating racism and xenophobia, how I spend my (volunteer) summer, ideas for short-term volunteer workcamps, networking and cooperation.
