Happy New Year at the Orphanage On December 31st, when everyone was busy with preparing for New Year, a group of volunteers in Artemovsk was busy preparing something different – a New Year celebration for orphans at the special boarding school for mentally disabled children in Paraskoveyevka. Two local companies have generously provided presents for the children – sets with stationery from “Altair” Ltd., and fruits from Artemovsk Trade Complex. There were games to play, there were some happy eyes because of presents and because of the party, there were some tears ready to shed, there was a feeling of uneasiness – we came for just few hours as strangers, to organize something for these children – we made them happy for a while, but there is a lot more to do!
Thanks to Katya Vlasova and Maud Gustavsson for organizing the celebration and to the sponsors “Altair” Ltd. Artemovsk Trade Complex for the generous presents.

Altogether a total of 8 applications were received by the deadline. Of those submitted, 2 were approved for funding, 3 were rejected and a further 3 were given the opportunity to be revised and resubmitted by the end of December, taking into account the critical remarks of the Jury.
