During the first three months of the new year 2008 we have organized several activities. After a loooooooong vacation during the winter holidays, in February we have organized a mini-workcamp to an asylum for dogs (http://www.ytnf.org/activities6-18_52-.htm) and in March, during the International Day on Global Warming (http://www.ytnf.org/activities6-18_53-.htm) we have participated to a drama training linked to the topic. On 20 March 2008 a round table in Buryat devoted to the problems of the Buryat language took place in Ulan-Ude. The round table organized by the Social Inclusion PMT of SCG, in cooperation with the Regional Union of Young Scholars, the Human Rights movement “Erkhe,” and the “All-Buryat Association for the Development of Culture” followed the Politcafè “Why is the Buryat language dying?” that took place on the International Mother Tongue Day on

As probably most of you know, at TEM (Technical European Meeting) held in Palermo, Italy from 21-25 of February, me [Cezar] and Julia decided to make a short presentation about YTNF project. The time allowed for that was at a plenary session so that all participants could attend it and many even raised questions regarding it.
Julia presented main objectives and the structure of the project, explaining the major activities made so far at international and national level, activities and trainings to be implemented in the appropiate 2008 and possibility for the participants to take part in.
As some of present participants already took part in YTNF activities was even easier to let peaople express themseves. Details...

On 3rd March a French circus show by “Les Frères Kazamaroffs” took place in the orphanage “Malyshok” - a volunteer post of Tina and Deborah – our EVS volunteers from Germany. “Malyshok” is a home for 105 children aged from 1,5 to 7 and has been a partner of SCG since 2003.
For one hour children and educators were carried away to a magic country of Chevengur where now for a thousand years it has been prohibited to train animals. So now for a thousand years in order to earn their living the Kazamaroff family has been training things. Details...

We are looking for trainers for the Multiplier Training Course, which is organized in the framework of “Youth Transcending New Frontiers” project (YTNF, www.ytnf.org ). The training course is hosted by SVIT-Ukraine, and will take place in Svyatogorsk, Ukraine, July 7-13, 2008.
We are looking for 2 motivated persons who can provide participants knowledge and skills related to the topics of the training course, make them familiar with what is project and how to develop a good project, place of the project in your organization, how to manage diverse resources in the project (time, people, financial), how to plan communication and team work in the project. YTNF partner organizations SVIT-Ukraine, AVI-Moldova, New Group Belarus and Siberian Creative Group (Russia) are preparing a film festival on such topics as protection of human rights, fight against racism and xenophobia, and social inclusion. The festival, having same name as the project - Youth Transcending New Frontiers - will take place in May in Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus and Siberia, and will consist of several non-profit film shows.
The film shows will take place parallel in Ukraine – Kharkiv, Lugansk and Artemovsk; and also in Moldova, Belarus and Buryatia. The film festival is targeted at general public, with main focus on young people, and aims to raise awareness on such topics as human rights, racism and xenophobia, and social inclusion. Details...

We are happy to announce “Hosting Projects - What We Can Do” international training.
The idea of this training seminar was born during LTEG seminar in Finland 2006, and will now be realized with financial support of Youth in Action Program. Overcast weather and feeling sleepy due to it, being late and out of coffee. Probably not the best start for a successful meeting. But we had it. On the February week-end of 2 and 3 a group of activists met in Kharkiv to discuss what is happening in SVIT in the coming months, plan upcoming activities like YTNF film festival and training on project management, take a look at new SVIT web-site and decide about its future update and new features.
