The Future of YTNF

Under this topic we want to find out what simple visitors, PMT members, Regional Managers and whoever might me, thinks about the future of YTNF project and what can come after this...

Beyond Horizons

In November 2008 YTNF will come to
an end, because funding then stops.
This might be a great pity, because
during the last 2 years momentum
has been steadily built up &
achievements need to be sustained.
I would therefore be interested to
hear your opinions (volunteers,
staff members, sponsors?): Should
we strive to continue the project
(YTNF Phase 2?), and, if so, in
what way or direction? Please feel
free to give any comments to help
us reach a decision!

It would be good if there was a
YTNF part 2 which a focus on anti
islamophobia,work with young
offenders and developing
volunteering opps for young
unemployed.To finish with a quote
from Thomas Jefferson-'when the
people fear the government there is
tyranny,when the government fear
the people there is democracy'.

YTNF part 2 it's as necessary,
as important. First of all, YTNF 1
helped many young persons to get
involved and to discover the big
world of volunteering. Secondly, it
facilitated the exchange of
different visions on how the
biggest problems of a society
(discrimnation, infrigement of
human rights, social exclusion...)
should be solved in a creative way
and in order to get more and more
people to care about it. YTNF part
2 should be more focused on
implementing different actions
(multilatural ones) and less on
preparing multipliers (as we had
YTNF 1 for this :) ).

Thanks

Dear Alina & Mike, thanks indeed
for your helpful & purposeful
suggestions! We shall be having a
meeting in Poland at the middle of
May to discuss sustainability of
YTNF and will certainly take them
on board. So please (others too)
keep the ideas coming...all the
best to you, J.

It seems that the meeting John was
saying about will take place even
earlier, on 3-4th of May in
Kharkov, Ukraine and the results of
the meeting will be posted under
NEWS. So, we hope that the
volunteers will have time to
express their ideas about the
future of YTNF.
