Dobre Razom
The project aims to address the issues of racism and xenophobia in Ukrainian society in general, research and compare cases and differences from Eastern and Western regions of Ukraine, attitudes of East and West towards each other, discuss and compare cases from other European countries. It is organized in the framework of “Youth Transcending New Frontiers” (YTNF) project, which is taking place in Ukraine, Moldova, Russia and Belarus. In the framework of YTNF volunteer groups are organizing activities on human rights education, social inclusion, racism and xenophobia. During the project it is planned to organize public activities to raise awareness and promote anti-racism behavior. The main activity of is international study visit, which itself would be an example of tolerant and anti-racist behavior.

During the study visit it is planned to address the problem of racism, research and compare situation, attitudes in Eastern and Western regions of Ukraine, organize information events for students, schoolchildren and local NGOs, develop photo exhibition. A group of volunteers will have common training, evaluation and summing-up (2 days at the beginning and 4 at the end of the project), after the training the group will split in 2 smaller groups, one will go to Kharkiv (East) and the other to Lviv (West).

The study visit will be followed-up by Exhibition on the topics of anti-racism. It will consist of photos made during the project and other exhibits, and will be placed at the National academy of municipal economy in Kharkov, promoted in other universities and public places, and a Seminar to discuss situation with racism and promotion of anti-racism, also in the context of one country (attitudes East-West in Ukraine). During the seminar participants will elaborate common vision of the situation and an overview of what is happening in different communities/regions, and brainstorm for ideas how to work on the problem more effectively, and unite efforts.

The project is taking place in the framework of campaign of Council of Europe “All Different – All Equal”, with financial support of Jucker Mauderly and European Youth Foundation.
