Exhibition “Antifascism, Antiracism and Tolerance” Exhibition “Antifascism, Antiracism and Tolerance” organized by Antiracism PMT opened November 9, 2007 at Buryatia Museum of Culture and Art. To our regret in today’s Russian society a problem of neo-Nazism is getting more and more critical, recent racially motivated murders of our Buryat fellow-countrymen in Moscow show that.
That is why on November, 9 – the International Day of struggle against Nazism and anti-Semitism – a number of activities aimed at education of tolerant relations in the society and raising awareness of the problems existing between people of different ethnicities, cultures and religions were hold in Ulan-Ude:
09.11.07 – Seminar on Antifascism, Antiracism
15.11.07 – Training on Tolerance
17.11.07 – Training on “Art in concentration camps”
Young volunteers, who recently visited Germany shared their experiences about World War II concentration camps sites. “Inhuman past of Ravensbrück, Buchenwald and Auschwitz should not be forgotten and repeated,” thinks Dulma Sodnomova while speaking about her visit to a former concentration camp in Poland.
Pictures of Ksenia Gordeeva, a young artist from a town of Selenginsk made a big impression on visitors. Though a disabled person (she cannot walk) Ksenia responded to the idea of the exhibition having sent drawings that depict sufferings of concentration camps prisoners.
