The struggle against racism & xenophobia PMT invites all interested people to the workshop “Let’s find out about (anti)racism in Moldova”, organized by the Association of International Volunteering from Moldova (www.avimd.org), on March 21^st, 2008 within the “European Action Week against Racism” (http://www.unitedagainstracism.org).

We will talk about racism, its forms of manifestation in Moldova and methods of fighting them. Find out what foreign students/volunteers believe about racism and discrimination in Moldova.

This event will offer you the opportunity to express your ideas about racism and xenophobia, understand the stereotypes behind it and share information about different cultures.

Watching a short movie and a presentation about racism and xenophobia, followed by discussions
Workshop on the issue of racism
Round-table with Moldovan and foreign students, who will talk about their own countries and how they perceive Moldova form outside. You will be able to take part at different games and ask questions.

Place: ARC Conference Room (US Alumni Resource Center), 2^nd floor, ASITO building (next to AESM and Fidesco, in the center). You are not allowed to bring any electronic devices inside ARC, thus you will have to disconnect and leave them at the security checkpoint.

Participants: Students and youth from Moldova, foreign students and volunteers in Moldova (from France, Italy, Germany, Estonia, India and Turkey).

This event is organized with the support of: Amnesty International Moldova, ARC (US Alumni Resource Center), UNITED.

Working Languages: English, Romanian and Russian (it is necessary to speak at least one of them)
